Dubai Opera, the resplendent art house and leading platform for the performing arts, has announced its series of special performances this September, which will include four spectacular and world-famous concerts and performances.
The month-long program includes five performances of the ballet "Romeo and Juliet", the famous love story, the opera "La Traviata" and the concert "Ghostly Kisses" by French-Canadian singer-songwriter Margot Sauvé, as well as the world's largest tribute to the late King of Pop. Michael Jackson.
Dubai Opera represents the creative and beating heart of Dubai, and it is a multi-use performing arts center with a capacity of 2,000 seats. The September performances are as follows:
"Romeo and Juliet"
9 - 11 September
This show offers an opportunity to admire William Shakespeare's masterpiece, Romeo and Juliet, through a vibrant performance by the Georgia Ballet.
The creative dancers tell the story of the two lovers, Romeo and Juliet, and their love affair that stumbles after a fierce feud between their feuding families, which finally ends in tragic events, and dazzling ballet dances are presented to the music of the famous composer Sergei Prokofiev.

"La Traviata Opera"

La Traviata, the world-famous opera, consisting of three scenes by Italian composer Giuseppe Verdi, is based on the play "Our Lady of the Camellia", adapted from the novel by Alexandre Dumas Jr.
Featuring one of the most iconic, romantic and tragic compositions of all time, Verdi's enchanting masterpiece contrasts glamorous party scenes with delicate moments with a captivating performance.

The Ghostly Kisses Concert is an all-in-one musical project of Margot Sauvé, French-Canadian singer-songwriter, and takes place one evening only at Dubai Opera.
Featuring a selection of songs from her debut album 'Heaven, Wait', as well as tracks like Empty Note and Heartbeat, the Ghostly Kisses concert will be the biggest to date and the only Souve concert in the MENA region this fall.

"Michael Jackson Tribute"
23 - 24 September
Dubai Opera will host the world's largest tribute to the late King of Pop Michael Jackson in Dubai for the first time ever, and the show will include his most famous songs.
Performed by Rodrigo Teezer, the world-famous show includes the life and work of Jackson, with choreography and special costumes designed by LaVelle Smith, the dancer and choreographer of the King of Pop himself.
