An event to shoot the real thing of this "Guernica" in Spain with an ultra-high-definition camera using NHK's 8K technology and screen it on a 325-inch large monitor in almost full size began on the 16th in Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo.



In the projected image of "Guernica", you can clearly see Picasso's brush strokes, such as people and horses running away, and a woman holding a baby and looking up at the sky, and you can experience the power of life-size.



Yasujiro Otaka, an art historian and professor emeritus at Waseda University who cooperated in the shooting, said, "By viewing the images in high definition and in actual size, you can notice traces of redrawing that cannot be seen in encyclopedias.
