As the number of new coronavirus infections continues to remain high, Nagasaki City has set up a drive-through antigen testing center at a hospital in the city limited to nights and holidays, and many people rushed to the center on the first day, the 16th. had been inspected.

In Nagasaki City, due to the spread of the new coronavirus, there are concerns that the number of people who visit medical institutions at night and on holidays for examinations is increasing, and the emergency medical system will be overwhelmed.

For this reason, the city has set up a drive-through antigen testing center at the Nagasaki Minato Medical Center in the city.

On the first day, the 16th, there was a line of cars waiting for the test, and a doctor wearing a protective suit approached the car and took a cotton swab from each person through the window.

The test is free and results are available within 15 to 30 minutes.

The inspection center will be set up by the beginning of next month, and will be open from 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm on weekdays and Saturdays, and from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm on Sundays and holidays.

Koichi Hayakawa, director of the Critical Care and Critical Care Center at Nagasaki Minato Medical Center, said, ``If the number of people who visit the hospital for the purpose of testing or for mild fevers increases, it will lead to a shortage of emergency medical care. I want you to come to this place."
