A film based on a play

The famous American comedian will not make a classic biopic: he will be inspired by a play which itself focuses on 48 hours in the life of the Italian artist.

In his time, in the first half of the 20th century, Modigliani was broke and his mistress put him back on the right track.

He then embarked on the composition of a self-portrait.

If the cast is not yet known, this play includes six male roles and only one female.

One certainty: Al Pacino will produce this feature film, the shooting of which will begin next year in Europe.

Note that more than 20 years ago, there was already a film on Modigliani which starred Andy Garcia in the role of the master and Elsa Zylberstein in that of his muse.
