Shortly after 2:00 pm yesterday, an 8-year-old boy was swept away while swimming at Kashiwazaki Central Beach in Kashiwazaki City, and his grandfather, who went to rescue him, also drowned.



His grandfather was quickly rescued by a bystander and taken to hospital, but he died.

In addition, the boy was found lying down in shallow water near the coast about three and a half hours later, but died at the hospital to which he was transported.



According to the police, the deceased were Takashi Nakamura (69) from Kawagoe City, Saitama Prefecture, and his grandson, Kaito (8), a third grader who lives in Kawagoe City. It means that I came to play in the sea.



According to Kashiwazaki City, lifeguards were patrolling the beach until the 15th according to the swimming season, but no lifeguards were dispatched from yesterday.
