"I don't know who you are, but I know who you are for."

On the morning of August 12, a band from Yanliang District, Xi'an City spontaneously walked into the Fuping Funeral Home in Weinan City, and played the song "For Whom" to the photo of Jiang Zhengquan in the room.

When the song is over, people bow in turn to pay tribute to the hero.

Jiang Zhengquan, 44, is an ordinary migrant worker from the Ciba Residents Group in Banqiao Community, Zhuyang Town, Jiangjin District, Chongqing City.

He went to work in Shaanxi from Chongqing and lived in a rental house of less than 20 square meters.

The family has parents who are in their seventies and a 9-year-old son. Like most of the workers, he only wants to earn a few more years of money, so he goes home to honor his parents.

He was so ordinary that he couldn't be more ordinary. When encountering a crisis situation, he didn't hesitate to go into the water to save people.

On August 8, a white off-road vehicle accidentally crashed into the Erlongkou Reservoir in Yanliang District, Xi'an City, in critical condition.

Jiang Zhengquan, who was passing by, and his co-workers hurriedly jumped into the river to rescue him.

The 3 women and 2 children in the car were successfully rescued, but Jiang Zhengquan's life was frozen in that water forever.

On the morning of August 12, the farewell ceremony for Jiang Zhengquan's body was held at the funeral home in Weinan City, Shaanxi Province.

That night, his ashes returned to Chongqing, and the local government held a ceremony for his ashes at the funeral home in Jiangjin District.

People from all walks of life came to the scene spontaneously. People from Weinan watched the hero leave, and fellow villagers from Jiangjin gathered at the highway intersection early. Under the high temperature of nearly 40 degrees Celsius in Chongqing, they displayed a banner of "Welcome the hero home" to pick up the "Chongqing Cubs". "go home.

One morning and one night, one north and one south, although the two ceremonies were separated by thousands of miles, they were closely linked by the same respect and emotion.

Jiang Zhengquan left, but the kindness he showed to the world gathered into a wave that continued to surge.

came to his hometown

Backed by the old Chengdu-Chongqing Railway and facing the Rongxi River, Jiang Zhengquan's hometown is hidden in a green forest. The location is very remote and cannot be reached by car.

Even so, on the seventh day of his death, people either crossed the railroad tracks up the mountain, or walked across the bridge to Jiang Zhengquan's home.

At around 10 am on August 14, Jiang Zhengquan's junior high school classmate Xu Jun arrived first.

He greeted several classmates and family members who were traveling with him to "sit casually", turned and sat on a few stones in front of Jiang Zhengquan's house.

In the old house in front of us, the handwriting on the stone couplet at the entrance is still clearly visible: The world's good plans must be advanced, and the world's technology should be taught by science.

Horizontal batch: diligent and thrifty housekeeping.

"It's a pity." Another classmate, Cao Li, recalled that her first reaction was "unbelievable" when she first heard the news.

Xu Jun lives in Guangdong. He learned of Jiang Zhengquan's unfortunate death when visiting relatives in Chengdu. He quickly contacted his classmates, hoping to do something for Jiang Zhengquan's family.

On the 14th, several of their old classmates in Chongqing drove to Ciba and wanted to hand over 60,000 yuan to Jiang Zhengquan's father.

While waiting, the students talked about Jiang Zhengquan, and the comments were all "kind, optimistic and positive".

"When he was young, after school, he dropped his schoolbag and went to mow hogweed. After finishing the work, we went to play in the river together. Diligence, optimism, and strength are not to be mentioned, they are the most basic qualities in him. ." A classmate couldn't come because of work, so he made a video call and wanted to see the scene.

"What I am most worried about now is the follow-up life of his family. We also hope that we can do our best." Xu Jun said.

After Xu Jun, two public security policemen who came from Xi'an on a special trip also came to Jiang Zhengquan's house with nearly 100,000 yuan of donations.

"These are all donated spontaneously. We learned that Jiang Zhengquan's family had returned to Chongqing, and we came here specially, hoping to hand it over to the elderly as soon as possible." said Wang Bo of the Publicity and Legal Affairs Department of the Traffic Police Detachment of Xi'an Public Security Bureau.

Arrange "loving mothers" for their children

When Jiang Zhengquan's family returned, it was almost noon.

Father Jiang Zhongyun was wearing a long-sleeved camouflage uniform, black trousers, and a pair of blue plastic slippers on his feet.

Perhaps because of their long-term outdoor work, the two elderly people have black and red skin.

A fellow villager said that the old couple fed 5 pigs, raised some chickens, and had crops to grow in the fields.

Jiang Zhengquan's mother was carried to the room on the second floor and settled on the bed to rest.

The old man's hoarse weeping was very weak because he was too sad.

Jiang Zhengquan's son came to grandma's bedside, turned on the TV, and stayed by her side silently.

Wang Bo held Jiang Zhongyun's hand and said, "I am also a child who grew up in the countryside. I know how difficult it is to raise a child at home."

Jiang Zhongyun, who is nearly seventy years old, has a local accent and keeps talking to the guests.

Everyone in the town knows about Jiang Zhengquan's courageous actions.

A fellow said: "I don't dare to watch the video a second time, but the tears keep flowing."

At noon, Zhu Yangzhen's secretary and mayor came to their home to visit Jiang Zhengquan's parents.

"The grandson is their only motivation now." On the side, Jiang Zhengquan's sister couldn't stop the tears.

After the divorce, the eldest brother who raised the child alone left, and the younger sister still couldn't accept it.

Mo Dongmei, deputy mayor of Zhuyang Town, said: "At present, the town has selected two 'caring mothers' for Chenchen, a social worker and a teacher. In the future, I hope that the children can live in a warm and loving environment. grow healthy."

A hero is an instinct

From Wang Hongxu, a 35-year-old teacher, to Jiang Zhengquan, a 44-year-old migrant worker, the city of Chongqing has no shortage of heroes.

They are all ordinary people, but there is no hesitation in the face of critical situations.

They grew up on the riverside, and they also left their lives in the water waves. The spirit of selfless dedication has been stirring in people's hearts for a long time.

"You can tell by watching the video. Jiang Zhengquan didn't hesitate at all, and he jumped in a second." Xu Jun said, in fact, this is not the first time Jiang Zhengquan went into the water to save people.

"He is always smiling, very polite and polite to people." Li Kechao, the owner of the commissary, said when talking about his impression of Jiang Zhengquan, "He is the glory of our Jiangjin people."

"I know that if 'Jiang Dawa' hadn't jumped off immediately, his conscience would have been disturbed." Li Kechao said, "It was an instinct."
