A new scene of violence took place Sunday evening in Perpignan.
A young man was shot dead, and another was injured, by shooters who fled on a scooter, we learned on Monday from a source close to the investigation.
The investigations are just beginning, but for the Perpignan prosecution it is probably a settling of scores between rival gangs.
The shooting occurred around 10:30 p.m. in the city of Bas Vernet, a district where authorities noticed that rival gangs were fighting over drug trafficking points.
Last week, violence has already been recorded in this neighborhood.
Sunday at midday, the person shot had not been identified.
Aged 20, the injured, who received a bullet, was hospitalized.
