It will be 77 years in 15 days since the end of the war.

At Mugonkan in Ueda City, Nagano Prefecture, where the works of students who lost their lives in the war while aspiring to the arts are on display, there is a memorial platform where visitors can quietly put their hands together. I'm here.

At Mugonkan in Ueda City, Nagano Prefecture, works by art students who died in the Pacific War are on display.

Every year, a memorial service table is set up on the day of the end of the war, but last year it was postponed due to the influence of the new corona, and this year it was installed for the first time in two years.

Paintbrushes with the names of art students who died in the war were lined up on the table, and visitors quietly put their hands together.

Also, on the evening of the 14th, students of Ueda Women's Junior College held a memorial service for art students, and about 600 pottery lanterns handmade by junior high and high school students in the prefecture are faintly displayed around Mugonkan. It was brightly lit.

A student from Ueda Women's Junior College who participated said, "When I come to Mugonkan, I once again think that war should never happen. I hope that this light will serve as a memorial service for the deceased art students." I was.

The memorial service stand and lanterns at Mugonkan will be installed until the 16th.
