A crash 13 years ago, was it an accident or an incident?

On the 13th, SBS 'I want to know' (hereafter 'Gal'), lit up the tragedy 13 years ago with the subtitle 'Closed room in the fog – the death of the 3rd Sanrok Bridge'.

In July 2009, a fall occurred at the 3rd Sannok Bridge in Seogwipo City, Jeju Island.

23-year-old Eun-hee fell from a 31-meter-high bridge and died.

And his mother and stepfather were present at the scene.

They asked Eun-hee to stop the car for a while to take a picture, and testified that he fell while sitting on the railing, and the police treated the case as a simple accident.

However, in June 2022, the police sent Eun-hee's mother and stepfather to the prosecution on charges of murder.

Police claimed the incident was a homicide due to inconsistent testimonies from her mother, a railing in the structure where people cannot sit, and the unusual body and point of the fall.

His mother claimed that she was confused by the repeated interrogations and that her statements had changed.

The police suddenly stopped the car to take a photo at the 3rd Sanrok Bridge in Jeju Island, a two-lane bridge that is rare and has no pedestrian paths, and was puzzled by the circumstances of the crash.

Paramedics who were dispatched at the time also stated that the bridge was never a suitable place to be photographed.

Also, referring to Eun-hee's acquaintances, Eun-hee's phobia of heights, she said she couldn't understand the situation that Eun-hee, who was afraid of the iron stairs to the second floor, asked to take a picture first.

In particular, Eun-hee's ex-husband contacted the production team by saying strangely that this was the case in the end.

He called Eun-hee even at dawn on the day of her death, and on the day of her death, Eun-hee's mother asked her to go eat together, and was puzzled by how casually they ate.

He also pointed out that without a funeral, the cremation proceeded the very next day, as if chased by something.

In fact, Eunhee's body was cremated right away, making it even more difficult to reveal the truth about that day.

As for not conducting an autopsy before cremation, the bereaved family claimed that they thought the police had performed an autopsy.

In response, the expert said that the autopsy was not performed, but the psychology of wanting to point out that it was the police's fault for the actions of the bereaved who claimed to have done the autopsy was reflected.

He also expressed regret, saying that it must have been a fatal mistake of the investigative agency for not conducting an autopsy.

However, those who saw the picture of Eun-hee's crash remembered it clearly.

The face of Eun-hee's body was clean and she was lying on her back without bleeding.

In addition, it was said that his upper body had no traces and only the part of the buttocks that fell off were completely peeled and wounded.

One of the reasons the police sent the case to prosecutors after 13 years was the unusual crash site.

That the location was too close to the bridge to be a person who fell on his own.

Experts also said that the point of the fall could be the key to solving the case, so the production team conducted a fall test with experts.

As a result of the experiment, it was found that the shape and point of fall when an unconscious person was forcibly dropped was similar to that of Eun-hee.

Residents and acquaintances who knew Eun-hee remembered him as a good and pitiful child.

That he was not loved by his mother and that he was also left in a daycare facility.

Eun-hee, a middle school student, was placed in a childcare facility after her mother remarried.

In fact, the coffee shop owner, whom Eun-hee followed like her mother, saw Eun-hee, who was looking for a job by cheating her age, and immediately contacted her mother.

However, she was contacted and his mother, who came to visit, did not intend to take her daughter, and she signed an oath allowing her to be hired even though she knew it was a 24-hour coffee shop.

Eun-hee, who had a hard time earning a living by working in a coffee shop.

He followed the coffee shop owner down to his hometown of Jeju Island and continued to work at the coffee shop after that.

But one day, his mother came and took all of Eun-hee's money because she was saving her money.

Eun-hee played the role of head of the household in place of her mother and stepfather, who had a poor income.

And Eun-hee, who received a divine message afterward.

He later told his acquaintances that his mother tried to kill him several times.

He opposes Shinnae-rim and has turned on the gas in the house.

In response, his mother admitted that there was a religious conflict.

But, coincidentally, it turns out that now his mother is walking the path her daughter had taken, under her supremacy.

A shaman who said that Eun-hee's mother did the shinnae rite said, "Two years after her daughter passed away, she came to me and asked me to do the shin nae rite. She borrowed money from me and said that she would give it to me if I got the insurance money," asserted.

And his mother's acquaintances testified that he bought a house and car with the death insurance money after Eun-hee's death.

Eun-hee, who had a lot of life insurance at the time.

As a result, the bereaved family received about 500 million won in death insurance.

Eun-hee's mother insisted that all of these insurances were taken by Eun-hee from an early age.

However, the words of Eun-hee's acquaintances were different.

A few months before the accident, his mother encouraged him to purchase insurance.

An insurance official said at the time that Eun-hee had actual expenses insurance, paid 50,000 won once, and then the bereaved family received the insurance money.

And there were rumors of such insurance, not only in their own insurance company, but in many places.

An expert analyzed Eun-hee's mother, saying, "Motherhood is inferior to women in general, and they see their children as a stumbling block or as a competitor."

He also pointed out that the reason for purchasing death insurance is because of the hypothesized scenario, and that he has too many insurances in light of his living income and cost of living.

The production crew went back to the bereaved family.

In this case where there was no direct evidence of murder, the prosecution ordered the police to conduct a further investigation.

However, since the only truth that can be confirmed at the moment is the trace of the fall, it is regrettable that it is doubtful what kind of truth can be revealed through this.

However, it was time to reveal the truth, whether his death was a vain death or a grim death, and I hoped that the truth would come out, drawing attention.
