Renting an overseas server, collecting obscene videos for "live broadcast", and tempting registered netizens to recharge and watch, a considerable number of them are minors... Recently, the People's Procuratorate of Suzhou High-tech Zone, Jiangsu Province filed a public prosecution, and five defendants were found guilty of disseminating obscene materials. They were respectively sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of more than three years and fined by the court.

"My child is at a time of intense learning. Fortunately, he got the help of the procuratorate. He was in a stable state when he took online classes. Today, we resume classes, and we are also at ease." May 9 is the first day of the resumption of classes for third-year junior high school students in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province. , Ding Nan, the prosecutor of the High-tech Zone Procuratorate, received a call from Mr. Huang, a citizen. This time, he became calm, and he was completely different from the state of two months ago.

At the end of February this year, a new round of epidemic broke out in Suzhou, and the resumption of classes became impossible. Mr. Huang was worried that his son would "repeat the same mistakes" by using the Internet at home for a long time, so he asked the prosecutor for help.

It turned out that a year ago, the 14-year-old Xiao Huang was in low spirits and his grades plummeted.

The couple observed it secretly for a while, and finally found the "catchy" hidden in the phone.

There is an app called "Sweet Live" on Xiao Huang's mobile phone, and when he clicks on it, it is full of pornographic live broadcasts.

Xiao Huang also recharged the software to become a member, and Mr. Huang, who was angry and annoyed, immediately called the police.

After investigation, the police found that after the app was logged in, scantily clad women were displayed on the interface.

On February 5, 2021, the Suzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau High-tech Zone Bureau set up a task force to carry out a refined investigation.

"There is a corresponding female anchor in each room, and the live broadcast screen is unsightly. We tried to send gifts to the anchor, but found that the anchor did not respond in time. After repeating the operation in several live broadcast rooms, we found that there are generally cases of no response to the reward." According to Liu Yu, the network security protection team of the High-tech Zone Bureau, the police concluded that this was a "fake live broadcast" software.

After in-depth investigation, the police found that the live broadcast software also has hidden links such as Trojan horses and gambling. There are seven or eight interfaces in the interface, which are directly linked to the background of the gambling game. These gambling backgrounds can bet online, buy lottery tickets, and jump to the corresponding games. "Bullfighting" and "Cheating Gold Flowers" are carried out on gambling websites.

In fact, "Sweet Live" is an illegal app that uses pornographic videos as a gimmick to attract traffic to gambling websites.

  Who built this pornographic software?

How is it operated?

How many people are still in it?

The procuratorial organ intervened in the case in advance, and suggested that the police task force should increase the external investigation of "Sweet Live" to find clues for detection.

Finally, the police accidentally discovered a customer service social software account in the app, and found the social group of the live broadcast software operation and maintenance team.

Through a series of investigations, the police gradually figured out the structure of a criminal gang headed by the online name of "Gong Xi Fa Cai" by overseas personnel, and the domestic Lu Mou is in charge.

After investigation, the behind-the-scenes boss of the app is a person whose online name is "Gong Xi Fa Cai", but he has been operating overseas and commanding remotely.

Wu, codenamed "XP", is responsible for the company's operation, App launch and distribution, Zeng is responsible for personnel attendance, salary payment, Zhang is responsible for finding film sources, downloading and uploading videos to the server, Lai is the server operation and maintenance personnel, and Duan is responsible for the front end of the software. Design, technical support and maintenance of gambling links.

Wu Mou was originally a game designer. At the end of 2020, he applied to a network technology company in Shenzhen through the Internet, and the content designed and developed by the company was the live broadcast software related to pornography.

Although Wu later learned that the company was engaged in illegal activities, he still chose to stay in the company due to the generous remuneration, and kept in touch with "Gong Xi Fa Cai" to help it manage and operate a criminal gang.

According to the police, the software obtains revenue by charging membership fees and video-on-demand fees, including a monthly card of about 150 yuan, a quarterly card of about 400 yuan, and an annual card of about 800 yuan. Browse and watch obscene videos and earn money for driving traffic to gambling sites.

Since its launch at the end of 2020, in less than three months, the live broadcast software has been downloaded nearly 30,000 times, attracting tens of thousands of fans in a very short period of time.

The task force found that the operating server address of the platform is located overseas, and the operation and maintenance personnel are scattered in Guangdong and Hainan.

In March 2021, the High-tech Zone Bureau organized police to go to Shenzhen and Hainan, arrested 17 criminal suspects including Lu, Zhang, Duan, and Lai, and seized more than 20 computers, more than 60 mobile phones, and servers involved in the crime. More than 40 units.

According to reports, the live broadcast software is not a normal app and cannot be directly downloaded by customers in the app store. If you want to provide download services, you must first solve the technical problem of signature distribution.

Faced with this problem, Lu contacted Du in Hainan to be responsible for the signature and distribution of the software.

Du's team helped solve the technical difficulties, and since then the live broadcast software has been put on the "coat" of evading supervision.

In this way, Wu et al. spread it in social software groups, website forums and other channels through hidden links, QR codes, etc., and each download port was only available for 300 downloads, and then it became invalid.

When the software was seized, according to the background information, the amount of money involved in the app exceeded millions of yuan. After identification, the software spread more than 600 obscene videos.

In terms of fund management, in order to evade the attack, the criminal group remits every fund generated by software membership recharge, reward, gambling, etc. directly to an overseas account through a third-party platform. The boss "Gong Xi Fa Cai", who has been active overseas for a long time, then uses illegal means to transfer the company's operation and maintenance expenses to the domestic gang finance department, and distributes it to the members in cash.

At present, five defendants including Wu have been sentenced according to law for disseminating obscene materials, and the case is still being processed.
