Recently, three thousand acres of fragrant basil in Zhaosu County, Xinjiang has entered its full bloom period. The blooming fragrant basil flowers are like purple woven carpets, stretching on the Zhaosu Prairie.

The rich natural conditions and the unique geographical location of the Zhaosu Plateau are suitable for the growth of Perilla frutescens, with a flowering period of about a month.

As a spice crop, sclareol and ambergris can be extracted from its flowers, leaves and stems, which have high market value.

In recent years, fragrant basil has become a local leisure and sightseeing agriculture, attracting many tourists to take pictures and punch cards every year.
