China News Agency, Beijing, August 13, The Shenzhou 14 astronaut crew ushered in the 70th day of in-orbit work on August 13.

According to the latest news from China's official media, the crew of the "God 14" will soon carry out an exit from the Wentian experimental cabin airlock. This will be their first spacewalk.

At present, the Shenzhou 14 astronaut crew has been working and living in orbit for more than two months, and will welcome the first scientific experimental module of the Chinese space station in July.

After the Shenzhou 14 astronaut crew entered the Wentian experimental cabin, they immediately carried out the unlocking of the platform instrument area and the unlocking of the scientific experiment cabinet.

In addition, the Shenzhou 14 astronaut crew also assembled a control moment gyro, which can keep the spacecraft attitude stable or make quick adjustments.

The addition of the Wentian experimental module also increases the space for astronauts to move in orbit.

After work, the astronauts moved the space bike from the Tianhe core module to the Wentian experimental module.

It is understood that according to the task arrangement, each of the three astronauts has to complete 80 minutes of physical training every day. With the increase in the activity space, the astronauts can carry out more physical training items and can better prepare for extravehicular operations. .

This time, the Shenzhou 14 astronaut crew will conduct a spacewalk through the Wentian experimental cabin airlock for the first time.

The airlock will be the main exit channel of the future Chinese space station, with a square outside and a circle inside.

Compared with the Tianhe core module node module, the Wentian experimental module has a larger "dressing room" space, and the astronauts can stretch more when making preparations for the cabin and returning outside the cabin.

Its gate is 1 meter in diameter, and it is not only more convenient for astronauts to enter and exit from here, but also carry large equipment out of the cabin.

In addition, the Chinese space station extravehicular arm has also recently carried out on-orbit tests.

With the support of ground personnel, the small robotic arm installed outside the Wentian experimental cabin completed the bulkhead crawling and target calibration tests.
