China News Service, Hangzhou, August 13 (Reporter Xiang Jing) "I finally see my father!" The moment he took over the portrait of his father Wang Youming, 79-year-old Wang Yongsheng burst into tears.

When his father left home to go to the battlefield, Wang Yongsheng was only 3 years old.

Different from other portraits of martyrs, in the sketch portrait of Shandong martyr Wang Youming, he wears a warm hat.

"It's really like the painting!" Although Wang Yongsheng couldn't remember what his father looked like, he knew - "Dad wore this hat when he left."

On August 13, the opening ceremony of the 2022 8th China Filial Piety Culture Festival and the annual Chinese filial piety figures award ceremony was held in Hangzhou.

The "Portrait of 100 Martyrs" public welfare project was named as the 2022 Chinese filial piety figure/group.

The portrait of Martyr Wang Youming was painted by the team.

In the 20th century, some revolutionary martyrs failed to leave a photo before they died, which became a pity for their families.

There is such a group of people, who crossed the mountains and rivers, and used their brushes to make the martyrs and their families "reunited" across time and space.

The "Portrait for 100 Martyrs" public welfare project originated from Ye Qinghua, the widow of Martyr Meng Xiangbin.

Fifteen years ago, her husband jumped into a river to save lives, and his life was forever fixed at the age of 28.

But she did not indulge in grief, but did good deeds with righteousness, continuing the great love of Martyr Meng Xiangbin.

The "Portrait of 100 Martyrs" public welfare project was rated as the 2022 Chinese filial piety figure/group, and the initiator Ye Qinghua accepted the award on behalf of the public welfare project.

Over the years, Ye Qinghua has been running around silently, visiting family members of martyrs, looking for veterans, sorting out historical data of martyrs, and looking for relatives of martyrs who died in the war.

During this period, she learned that many martyrs did not leave a photo before they died, so she came up with the idea of portraiting the martyrs, and launched the "Portrait for 100 Martyrs" public welfare project.

Since then, more than 10 art colleges, professional painters, volunteers, etc., including Zhejiang Media Institute, Zhejiang Normal University, Anhui Normal University, etc., have joined the portrait team.

At the awards ceremony, Ye Qinghua was in tears before he even opened his mouth.

"Thank you for not forgetting the martyrs and sending them home." Ye Qinghua said with emotion.

As a family member of a martyr, Ye Qinghua is worthy of his reputation as a martyr.

If she could still talk to her husband, Ye Qinghua would like to say - "I am never alone on the road with Jun Xuguo".

Ye Qinghua said that the portraits of the martyrs depend on the joint efforts of caring people from the whole society, "I would also like to express special thanks to the China News Agency, Qianjiang Evening News and other media units, through the flesh and blood reports, not only let the portraits of the martyrs be in the spotlight. "Alive" in the hearts of relatives, and let heroes and martyrs "live" in the hearts of the whole society."

From one person to a group of people, from painters, painters to media people... At present, 357 martyrs have been found and sent "home" by Ye Qinghua, and the "Portrait for 100 Martyrs" public welfare project team has 215 Portrait of a martyr.

As the award speech said: one stroke and one painting, more than reappearing eyebrows and eyes, but also carrying thoughts; thousands of miles, not only the way to find people, but also the return of martyrs.

Baptism of wind and frost, you have overcome the obstacles of time, let the souls of martyrs return to their hometowns, and let love return home.

In the process of helping the martyrs "go home", what impressed Ye Qinghua the most was the Gansu martyr Ma Baolin and his son Ma Erli.

Knowing that caring people painted his father's portrait, 90-year-old Ma Erli has been waiting for his relatives to "go home".

"When the old man was dying, we made a video connection to let him, who has been waiting for more than 70 years, see his father. After half an hour, he closed his eyes." Ye Qinghua said.

The heroes never go away and will never be forgotten.

At the scene, Wu Jing, vice chairman of the Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and chairman of the Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the Chinese Revolutionary Committee, presented awards to the public welfare project "Portraits of 100 Martyrs".

At the awards ceremony, the "Portraits for 100 Martyrs" public welfare project team also brought the portraits of three martyrs from Henan, Jiangsu and Shandong to the scene and presented them to the families of the martyrs.

After waiting for a lifetime, waiting for a lifetime, and reciting for a lifetime, the families of the martyrs traveled thousands of miles, just to fulfill one wish - to see the appearance of their relatives and take him "home".
