[Explanation] During the summer season, students from various colleges and universities are on vacation, but the horse racing students of Taiyuan University of Technology are busy with various international events on the racecourse.

On August 10th, junior Cheng Weihua was preparing for the qualifying of the Yulong International Horse Racing Open in Shanxi Yulong Horse Park.

The students who practiced here with her also devoted themselves to different jobs, preparing for the horses.

[Explanation] Taiyuan University of Technology began to recruit the first batch of students majoring in horse racing in September 2019. They are the first batch of students in this major. Although they have not yet entered the employment season, they are not worried about future employment. They also have clear goals for their future career plans.

As a girl, I think it's okay to work in the racing department, and then I prefer to be a trainer.

Because in this field, there are actually very few relatively professional talents, and then I just want to be at a higher level, I just want to inject some fresh blood into this industry.

[Concurrent] Qiao Xudong, a student of Taiyuan University of Technology

After graduating, I actually think that it is good to do event planning and event organization. This aspect can train me a lot.

[Explanation] The School of Physical Education of Taiyuan University of Technology opened a horse racing major in 2019. At present, 52 undergraduates and 8 postgraduates in horse racing have been enrolled.

Professional and organizational construction is carried out in accordance with the three-step model of direction-professional-college.

In 2018, Taiyuan University of Technology Yulong International Horse Racing Academy was officially established in Yulong Horse Park, Youyu County, Shuozhou City. Yulong Horse Park is an important horse racing venue in China and hosts a number of national events every year. Among them, Yulong International Horse Racing Open It is an internationally renowned horse racing brand that is in line with international standards, runs throughout the year, has the highest bonuses, and is specialized, providing students with a high-level practice platform.

In addition to the basic theory, basic knowledge, industrial structure, etc. of horse racing for children, we have also developed some equestrian skills so that they can be employed in equestrian other than horse racing itself. What we think about is internationalization , and then it can radiate to China, which is what I call the internationalization of Chinese horse racing and the sinicization of international horse racing.

[Explanation] In order to improve the employment competitiveness of students, the school has formulated some assessment objectives for students in school.

[Concurrent] Zhang Zhenlong, Deputy Dean of Yulong International Horse Racing College, Taiyuan University of Technology

When we were in the third grade, there was an assessment of teaching ability.

Of course, we encourage our students to apply for teacher certification, another aspect is the requirement of motor skills.

As a horse racing professional, we basically require an assessment of intermediate riding skills.

If these two certificates are obtained, they basically meet our training goals.

[Explanation] In addition to the local practice base, the school is also actively exploring overseas cooperation practice bases.

[Concurrent] Shi Dongbo, Dean of the School of Physical Education, Taiyuan University of Technology

Our initial positioning is to cultivate international talents. We have a layout in Ireland, France and Australia in the early stage.

I just want the students to study 2 plus 2 and 3 plus 1 at home and abroad.

[Explanation] Shi Dongbo introduced that at present, there is a great demand for high-end talents in the field of horse racing in China, which also provides many employment opportunities for students of this major.

At present, although they have not yet graduated, many equestrian clubs have come to appoint people and ask about this matter, and in terms of treatment, they are several times higher than our current students majoring in physical education.

So this prospect is possible.
