Two women in their 80s and 90s died in Saitama Prefecture on the 10th due to symptoms that appeared to be heatstroke.

At around 2:50 p.m., an 88-year-old woman from Kumagaya City was found dead outside on the property of her home by her family and taken to a hospital, where she died. has been confirmed.

In the prefecture on the 10th, the highest temperature in Kumagaya City and Hatoyama Town was dangerously hot with just 38 degrees Celsius.

According to the prefecture, as of 4:00 pm on the 10th, a total of 42 people were transported to the hospital on suspicion of heatstroke, and two of them are in serious condition.



Intense heat is expected in the prefecture on the 11th, and the prefecture calls for appropriate use of air conditioners indoors and measures against heat stroke such as frequent hydration.
