Of the seven deadly sins, Christian doctrine considers pride to be the most important, the most serious of all because this feeling of superiority would push those who are affected by it, to place themselves above others, and ultimately to rise above God.

Long condemned by the Catholic Church, pride is, according to some scientific researchers, as essential to human survival as hunger, fear and libido.

Sin or quality... One thing is certain, pride carries with it its brothers and sisters, more or less sympathetic: arrogance, pride, vanity, self-esteem, pretentiousness, dignity, snobbery... and it is without doubt the most practiced sin of our time.
