Matsusaka City, Mie Prefecture, has started accepting the meat of one cow as a return gift of 15 million yen in hometown tax in order to further promote the specialty Matsusaka beef. .

Matsuzaka City has newly made a return gift for the hometown tax donation, which is approximately 213 kg of meat equivalent to one Matsusaka beef.

According to the city, about 80% of the city's 550 return gifts are Matsusaka beef-related items, but they added it in an attempt to make it more eye-catching. It means that it is 15 million yen, which is the highest amount in tax.



In addition to this, a wallet and business card holder made of Matsusaka beef cowhide were added as return gifts.



Applications have started on the city's hometown tax website from the 10th, and are also accepted by mail or fax.
