On the evening of August 8, the 2022 Beijing (International) Canal Culture Festival, hosted by the Propaganda Department of the Beijing Municipal Party Committee and China News Service, opened in Tongzhou District, Beijing.
Relying on the magnificent natural and cultural landscapes and rich historical and cultural resources along the Grand Canal, Tongzhou District of Beijing is actively building the Grand Canal Cultural Tourism Scenic Spot.
This year's Canal Cultural Festival has set up a theme exhibition on the construction of the Grand Canal cultural tourism scenic spot. The exhibition will display the construction of the Grand Canal cultural tourism scenic spot from five aspects: overall coordination, people-oriented, cultural construction, scientific and technological support, and regional coordinated development. Exhibition and the "Twelve Hours of the Canal" VR interactive experience area, showing the charm of the Grand Canal cultural tourism in an all-round way.
The reporter learned from Tongzhou District, Beijing that the infrastructure construction of Beijing (Tongzhou) Grand Canal Cultural Tourism Scenic Spot has been basically completed. The surrounding area is open to the public, the overall appearance of "three temples and one tower" has been improved, a number of cultural and tourism integration projects such as the North Canal Non-Genetic Learning Institute have been completed and opened, and the creation of the scenic spot has entered the final sprint and decisive stage.
