Ashton Kutcher has recovered from a rare autoimmune disease.
The American actor revealed on Monday in an episode of the survival series Bear Grylls: Stars am Limit that he suffered from vasculitis two years ago that he feared for his life.
"A very rare form of the disease had left my vision, hearing and balance paralyzed," Kutcher said.
It took him almost a year to get well again.
"You only learn to appreciate what you have when you lose it," admitted the forty-four-year-old.
Kutcher left open what form of vascular disease he was suffering from at the time.
The actor and entrepreneur, who lives in Los Angeles with his wife Mila Kunis and their children Wyatt Isabelle and Dimitri, has been through a lot in terms of health.
Before filming the biopic "Jobs", in which Kutcher played Steve Jobs in 2013, he had drunk so much carrot juice and eaten grapes, following the example of the Apple co-founder, that he had to be treated in the hospital for an inflammation of the pancreas.
