“Over the past day, 53 forest fires on an area of ​​9721 hectares have been eliminated in Russia,” RIA Novosti reports.

It is specified that there are 151 forest fires on the territory of the country on an area of ​​215,626 hectares.

Earlier, the Ministry of Ecology, Nature Management and Forestry of the Republic of Sakha announced that artificial rains would be caused to extinguish forest fires in Yakutia.
