Due to the flood of applications for the antigen test kits that Hyogo Prefecture mails free of charge to people suspected of being infected with the new corona, some local governments in the prefecture are testing as many people as possible. Efforts to directly distribute them through the drive-thru method have begun.

Hyogo Prefecture is mailing antigen test kits free of charge to people with symptoms such as fever in order to reduce the burden on medical institutions, which are overwhelmed by the rapid spread of infection. The situation continues that the reservation frame will be filled within 30 minutes from the start of reception.

For this reason, in order to have as many people as possible take the test, some local governments have begun to distribute test kits secured through the prefecture directly to citizens.

Of these, in Ashiya City, on the 9th, citizens who made a reservation from a dedicated site visited the city hall by car and received the test kit from the staff in the drive-through method.

According to Hyogo Prefecture, 14 local governments in the prefecture have started working on it by the 9th, and all local governments, except Kobe City, plan to distribute it directly.

Reservation slots and distribution methods differ depending on the municipality, so please check the website of each municipality for detailed information.

Aya Tsuji, head of the Ashiya City Health Division, said, "We hurriedly responded to deliver the kits to the citizens who need them as soon as possible. Please make a reservation without rushing."
