“Over the past day, 51 forest fires on an area of ​​8,478 hectares have been extinguished in Russia,” RIA Novosti reports.

It is specified that there are 160 forest fires on the territory of the country on an area of ​​188,787 hectares.

Earlier, the Ministry of Ecology, Nature Management and Forestry of the Republic of Sakha announced that artificial rains would be caused to extinguish forest fires in Yakutia.
