The Hainan Provincial New Coronary Pneumonia Epidemic Prevention and Control Work Headquarters held a press conference on the afternoon of August 7 to report that in order to provide services for stranded tourists, the Hainan Provincial Tourism and Culture Department took the initiative to provide accommodation, catering and epidemic prevention and control materials for stranded tourists. Resolutely put an end to the phenomenon of tourists having nowhere to stay and hotels driving away guests.

Liu Cheng, deputy director of the Hainan Provincial Department of Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television and Sports, said that for hotels that have received stranded tourists, from August 6, they will provide a 50% discount on the original stay within 7 days. Visitors are responsible.

If the tourist chooses not to stay at the original hotel, he/she will choose from the hotel in the area.

Tourists who are new to the hotel will be given a half-price discount based on the lowest price published on Ctrip's official website.

The transportation department is responsible for dispatching vehicles to ensure the transfer of tourists in replacement hotels.

In response to online tourists reporting that individual hotels in Sanya did not implement relevant measures, and there were cases where prices were raised first and then discounted, Liu Cheng responded that relevant departments have sent special personnel to the scene to deal with it.

If there is an overcharge, it must be returned.

Liu Cheng revealed that on the evening of August 6, Sanya City had properly accommodated 3,273 passengers stranded at Sanya Phoenix Airport in 11 hotels in Sanya Bay and provided hotel accommodation services for seven days.
