Gunma Prefecture announced on the 8th that 1,343 people were newly infected with the new coronavirus in the prefecture and two deaths were confirmed.
It is 164 fewer than last Monday's 1507, and it is the first time since June 29 that the number has fallen below the same day of the previous week.
On the other hand, the prefecture withdrew a total of 41 people announced from the 28th of last month to the 7th of this month.
The number of confirmed infections in the prefecture reached 152,255, of which 359 died.
