As the impact of the new coronavirus prolongs, a support group surveyed economically disadvantaged families, and about 70% of the families answered that their income has continued to decrease compared to before the corona.
The NPO "Kids Door", which is working on child poverty countermeasures, conducted a questionnaire survey of families with children up to high school students who are in financial difficulty from the 5th to the 12th of last month and received responses from 2084 people.
When asked about the income of parents and guardians compared to before January before the spread of the new coronavirus infection,
50% said that it had decreased and remained the same, and
19% said that it was still recovering after the decrease. Approximately 70%
of
households answered that their income is still declining.
Also, when asked about changes in children compared to pre-corona with multiple answers,
32% answered that "skills have declined"
, followed by 25% that "it has become difficult to keep up with classes", and
