Princess Kako, the second daughter of Prince Akishino and his wife, participated in a Girl Scout camp held in Nagano City, where she got to know junior and senior high school students around a campfire.

This camp has been held since the 4th of this month to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Girl Scout movement in Japan, and about 90 female students from junior high and high schools participate.

On the 7th, Princess Kako visited a campsite in Nagano City and participated in the same light blue neckerchief as the female students.

The students announced that each team had a discussion on the theme of "realization of gender equality" among the Sustainable Development Goals "SDGs" set by the United Nations.

Princess Kako listened to all the teams' presentations for about two hours while taking notes, saying, "It was a well organized and wonderful presentation."

When the sun went down, a campfire was held, and Princess Kako lit firewood with a torch and sat in a circle to deepen exchanges.

A female student in the third year of junior high school said, "I was happy that Princess Kako looked at the announcement in detail. She told me, 'I'm rooting for you. Please do your best.'" .
