Road House

remake that will be released on Prime Video.

The star of

Donnie Darko

will therefore have the heavy task of taking over from the late Patrick Swayze who had made an impression in the 1989 B series which has become cult.

According to The

Hollywood Reporter

, filming will begin this month in the Dominican Republic with Doug Liman directing.

The screenplay was entrusted to Anthony Bagarozzi and Charles Mondry, both known to have worked on

The Nice Guys

On the casting side, Jake Gyllenhaal will give the reply to Billy Magnussen or Daniela Melchior.

On the script side, the plot will not be very far from that of the original film.

Former MMA fighter, the hero camped by Jake Gyllenhaal is hired as a bouncer in a roadhouse with the most restless atmosphere in the Keys, in Florida.

He will quickly discover that something is wrong in this tropical paradise.
