The monument that celebrates reading and writing in the University City area of ​​Sharjah is a milestone in the city's architecture and its elevation of the written word.

The monument, which was designed by international artist Gary Judah, consists of one piece and takes the form of a spiral that rises in the sky more than 36 meters. United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

The artistic design of the monument confirms Sharjah’s continuous march in consolidating the importance of books and reading for thought and human enlightenment, as this creative work stems from its design from a base four meters wide and 36.5 meters high, and in a monolithic structure made of a group of interconnected steel panels characterized by simplicity and depth at the same time.
