This is the second highest number of cases ever announced on a single day and the highest number of cases ever announced on Thursday.
A total of 71,651 people were confirmed to be infected in the prefecture.
Three more deaths have been announced.
The number of severely ill people remains unchanged from the 3rd, with 8 people.
