The Twitter account Celebrity Jets and the American sustainability agency Yard have published an examination of the celebrities' flying habits, where they compiled how often and for how long the plane is in the air.

Among others, the artist Drake and the reality profile Kylie Jenner have been criticized for flying private jets on trips that only take 14 and 17 minutes respectively.

According to the compilation, the artist Taylor Swift is the worst in terms of quantity, having used her private plane 170 times in the last six months.

The data has been refuted by the artist's team who say that it is not necessarily Taylor Swift who is flying.

“Taylor's jet is regularly loaned out to others.

To attribute all or most of these flights to her is grossly incorrect,” a representative told Rolling Stone.

“Expected to live extravagant lives”

Brand expert Niklas Turner Olovzon believes that the climate scandal of the celebrities' flying habits resulted in double standards.

On the one hand, the celebrities are rewarded for social awareness and involvement, but at the same time they need content to fill their feeds and are expected to live extravagant lives.

- There is a double standard both with these famous people, but also with the followers who both want awareness but at the same time want escapism, says Niklas Turner Olovzon.
