The reason: the presence of tropane alkaloids in these corn-based products.
These toxic substances are naturally present in certain species of plants.
"In the event of excessive consumption, large quantities of alkaloids can be ingested and cause temporary symptoms such as nausea, dizziness and headaches", it is specified on the Rappel Conso site.
