China Weather Network News In the past July, many places in my country encountered continuous high temperature weather. Four provinces spent the hottest July in history.

Who is the hottest in the provincial capital cities in July?

Which cities have more persistent heat?

Will the heat be more ferocious in August?

China Weather Network takes inventory of the big data of high temperature in July and answers them one by one for you.

Hangzhou won the championship in the hottest July high temperature list in many places

Monitoring shows that in July this year, the temperature in most parts of the country was high, with an average temperature of 23.15 °C, second only to July 2017 and the second highest since complete observations.

Zhejiang, Sichuan, Yunnan, and Guizhou experienced the hottest July, and Zhejiang and Sichuan were even the hottest month in the local observation history!

The highest temperature in Zhejiang, Jiangxi, Fujian, and Xinjiang broke through historical extremes.

The number of high temperature days in southern Jianghuai, central and eastern and southern Jiangnan, northern and eastern South China, and parts of the Sichuan Basin reached 20 days or more.

Among the provincial capital cities, Hangzhou topped the list with 26 high-temperature days in July this year; Fuzhou followed closely with 25 days, and the high temperature occurred continuously for 25 days, with one hot day for almost a whole month.

The number of high temperature days in Shanghai (Xujiahui Station) and Chongqing (Shapingba Station) also reached more than 20 days.

Among them, the number of high temperature days at Xujiahui Station in Shanghai doubled compared to the same period of the previous year. The highest temperature reached 40.9°C on July 13, tying the highest value in the observation history of Xujiahui Station since 1873; Chongqing Shapingba Station exceeded 40°C for 5 days, which is the highest in the history of observation at Xujiahui Station since 1873. The most in the provincial capital cities, the heat is unbearable.

In addition, Chengdu (Wenjiang Station) is also very hot. The number of high temperature days in July is less than one day all the year round, but there are 11 days of high temperature in July this year, which is most obvious in the provincial capital cities.

Not only is it hot during the day, but it is also hot at night. The six provincial capital cities with the lowest temperature and highest temperature in July all exceeded 30℃, experiencing all-weather heat.

The hottest is still Chongqing, which broke the local night temperature record for three consecutive days from July 13th to 15th. The lowest temperature in the early morning of the 15th was still 33.5°C.

According to Wang Weiyue, a meteorological analyst at China Weather Network, in July this year, the intensity of the subtropical high was strong, and it controlled Jiangnan, South China, Jianghuai and other places. The subtropical high itself is a warm high-pressure system. The formation of clouds makes it easier for solar radiation to reach the ground, which is conducive to the warming of the ground, resulting in frequent high temperature and strong intensity.

In August, the popularity was even better. Huang Huai from North China joined the "sauna" group chat

Entering August, under the control of the strong subtropical high pressure, my country's high temperature and hot weather will continue.

As the position of the subtropical high moves northward, the center of gravity of the high temperature will gradually move northward from Jiangnan and South China to the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River to North China.

There will be more high temperature days in central East China, central China, and eastern Southwest China than in the same period of the previous year, and there will be periodic high temperature heat waves.

As the high temperature spreads to the north, the humidity will also increase. North China, Huanghuai and other areas will usher in sultry weather. Join the "sauna" group chat.

In the south, Chongqing, Zhejiang and other places will have high temperatures of 40°C or above in the next few days. Among the cities, Hangzhou, Hefei, Chongqing and other places are likely to hit record high temperatures this year.

Wang Weiyue reminded that the high temperature in August is fierce, the sultry weather in the north is online, and the temperature in some parts of the south may reach a new high this year, and the heat is even higher than that in July. It is necessary to pay attention to the adverse effects of high temperature on human health, agricultural production, transportation and other aspects. Try to avoid going out during high temperature periods to prevent the occurrence of heat stroke.
