In a series of articles published by Dagens Nyheter, criticism is directed at Sveriges Radio's handling of internal IT security.

The radio is part of the Swedish total defense system and according to the review, SR must, among other things, have hired external consultants, without first security testing them, to develop a digital system for VMA - an important message to the public, which must warn citizens of dangers and crises.

The consultants must also have stored the sensitive information on foreign cloud services.

Information that SR's security manager has refuted and the company's CEO Cilla Benkö called misleading.

SR and MSB have also been called to the defense committee to answer questions about security.

Want an answer by September 5th

Now the County Administrative Board in Stockholm is setting up a supervisory case against Sveriges Radio due to the review and requests that SR as soon as possible submit information about the security work, including the current digital mediation of VMA and an assessment of possible consequences for Sweden's security in the event of an "antagonistic act" at a protected production site .

SR must provide the information by September 5 at the latest.

The County Administrative Board is the supervisory authority tasked with checking that operators comply with the Safety Protection Act.
