On the 1st, shopkeepers and local elementary school students brought their own Tanabata decorations to the arcade in the center of Sendai.



After attaching small windsocks and strips of paper on which wishes were written, the participants hung them up on the roof of the arcade.



As a countermeasure against infection, in principle, Tanabata decorations are installed at a height of 2 meters or more from the ground so that they cannot be touched, and the lower part is regularly disinfected.



A female student who brought decorations said, "It was difficult to make flowers out of paper.



In addition, a boy said, "I'm happy that the decorations we made at school are displayed. I wrote on a strip that I want the corona to disappear. I want to play with my mask off."



This year's "Sendai Tanabata Festival" will be held for three days from the 6th of this month.
