Yes, Typhoon Songda was weakened by the tropical depression, but the 6th Typhoon Trase, which occurred soon after, is approaching from the distant sea south of Jeju.
It is predicted that the typhoon will not develop further and will weaken to a tropical depression around 9 am.
A lot of rain falls across the country as hot and humid air from the south flows in between the roads created by the two typhoons.

In particular, strong rain cloud belts are located in the central and northern regions and Jeju area, and it is currently raining at Samgakbong at around 30mm per hour.
Therefore, a heavy rain advisory has been issued for the mountainous regions of Jeju, some Gyeonggi, northern Gangwon and Chungnam.
A typhoon warning has also been issued for the distant southern seas.
Rain will continue across the country until tomorrow.
In particular, a large amount of rain of up to 100mm is forecast for the central, southern coast, and Jeju areas including Seoul.
