Director Mohamed Fadel revealed that he had finished preparing for the series “The Laughing Cry”, which presents the biography of the late artist Naguib Al-Rihani, and also deals with the events that Egypt witnessed during a period of time from 1910 to 1949, most notably the 1919 revolution, the First World War, and also the Second World War. , through the character of Najib Al-Rihani, and other personalities, such as the musician Sayed Darwish.

He added, "The offer of work within the dramatic season of next Ramadan is not final."

Amr Abdel-Jalil is scheduled to star in the series, written by Mohamed El-Gheity and postponed for years, with the participation of artist Ferdous Abdel Hamid, who embodies the character of Najib El-Rihani's mother.
