On the 29th, the name of Mr. Sunao Tsuboi, who was the chairman of the Hiroshima Prefectural Atomic Bomb Victims Association, who died at the Takanobashi Staff Hall in Hiroshima City at the age of 96 last October, was newly recorded. rice field.



Mr. Tsuboi was exposed to the atomic bomb near Hiroshima City Hall, 1.2 km away from the hypocenter, when he was 20 years old when he was attending Hiroshima University.



After that, as a junior high school teacher, he continued to tell his students about the horror of the atomic bomb, and after he retired, he also focused on activities to testify to the reality of the atomic bombing abroad.



Six years ago, when he visited Hiroshima and appealed to President Obama of the United States for the abolition of nuclear weapons, while his fellow hibakusha died one after another, he was at the forefront of the movement toward the realization of a world without nuclear weapons with the word "never give up."
