According to former director Takahashi and related parties, the former director and the former chairman of AOKI's founder have been with each other for more than 10 years before the bid for the Tokyo convention was decided, and since 2017, the consultant fee is about 1 million yen a month. AOKI Holdings became a sponsor of the tournament in 2018 and sold suits with emblems as officially licensed products.
The Special Investigation Department is expected to analyze the seized materials and clarify the purpose of the large amount of consultant fees paid.
Former director Takahashi has denied the injustice to NHK's interviews so far, saying, "The consultant contract is a business related to ordinary sports, and I have never provided any convenience for the Olympics."
