In a case where a former director of the Organizing Committee was searched on suspicion of consignment bribery over the consultant fee received from the sponsor of the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games, the former director and the former president of the sponsor invited the Tokyo Games. I learned from interviews with the people concerned that it seems that they received about 1 million yen a month when the consultant fee was high, even before the decision was made.

The Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office is expected to clarify the purpose of the funds provided to the former directors.

Regarding former director Haruyuki Takahashi (78) of the Tokyo Organizing Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, the consultant fee received from the men's clothing giant "AOKI Holdings", which was the sponsor of the tournament, was a bribe for the company represented by the former director. On the 26th, the Tokyo District Public Prosecutor's Office searched for related parties such as the home of a former director on suspicion of bribery.

According to former director Takahashi and related parties, the former director and the former chairman of AOKI's founder have been with each other for more than 10 years before the bid for the Tokyo convention was decided, and since 2017, the consultant fee is about 1 million yen a month. It turned out that I had received a total of tens of millions of yen.

AOKI Holdings became a sponsor of the tournament in 2018 and sold suits with emblems as officially licensed products.

The Special Investigation Department is expected to analyze the seized materials and clarify the purpose of the large amount of consultant fees paid.

Former director Takahashi has denied the injustice to NHK's interviews so far, saying, "The consultant contract is a business related to ordinary sports, and I have never provided any convenience for the Olympics."
