Akram Hosni responds to accusations of stealing the lyrics and melody of a song by "King"

The management of the "YouTube" site deleted the song "Lee" by the Egyptian artist Mohamed Mounir "The King", which is combined with the Egyptian artist Akram Hosni, after the young composer Mahmoud Al-Mansi demanded to stop it, accusing them of stealing the tune of his song "Weld Al-Hilaliya".

Al-Mansi had accused Hosni of using the melody of his song "Wold El Helalia", which he released in 2017, a few hours after the release of the song "Lee" on "YouTube", through his account on the social networking site "Facebook".

Hosni commented on that accusation, during a telephone interview on the Al-Hekaya program presented by the Egyptian media, Amr Adib, saying that the melody is a folkloric theme of Upper Egypt, and everyone is affected by it, and there is no theft.

“My melody is not similar to Mahmoud Al-Mansi but, and it is similar to the violin extended, O Lord, by Hamada Hilal, the sequence of the Al-Maddah series, and semi-Khallani after Muhammad Al-Sharnoubi, and it is a folkloric theme from Upper Egypt that we are all affected by.”

And that was not the only complaint that Muhammad Munir’s song “Lee” was subjected to, as writer Adel Saber accused him of stealing verses from words he wrote in 2011, to which Akram Hosni responded that it was nothing but a flurry of ideas, and that he wrote about 20 verses, of which Munir chose only 12 .

Hosni continued that he is an actor in the first place, and writes and composes as a hobby and passion, and his artistic history and previous works make him not need to steal words or melodies.

For its part, the Egyptian newspaper “Al-Watan” stated that the artist Akram Hosni confirmed during a press interview with her about the details of his new song, which he wrote for the artist Mohamed Mounir “Lee”, pointing out that the story dates back to 5 years ago when the artist Mohamed Mounir contacted him by phone to congratulate him on one of his songs in the program “Abu Hafida,” who was broadcasting at the time, and asked him at the time to write a song for him, explaining that he asked him saying, “Who is the one who writes songs? I told him a workshop, I and I and one of them also said to me, may we sit together and talk, and he asked me to write him a song, and this talk is five years ago.” And at that time, many of us were terrified of the history of this great man, and this man sang for every need in the world, and he sang from me and I have three years and I have heard him since the year 77.”

Akram Hosni explained, during television statements, that the pen was trembling in his hand in fear of the artist, Mohamed Mounir, saying, "You know when the pen is trembling in your hand and you come to write a word saying no, you will not like it, and this is a terrifying feeling," adding that he wrote a song for Mounir, but he did not like it. "I wrote words and I I was not convinced of it, and I was hesitant, and I went to introduce it, and my expectation was right that he did not look at him and admire him, and he said he tried again and knew him, and I preferred for five years to have a dream that I want to achieve, that my name is placed next to the name of this man in any way, and if I can find something sweet in his voice, I will remain I do not want A need from the world after that."

Akram Hosni pointed out that Mounir from beautiful Upper Egypt and Upper Egypt is full of beautiful words of yarn and love, and "I write the words I see Mounir," pointing out that he was writing the words and seeing Mounir in front of him while he was writing them. He put his mobile on her and danced, and we finished hearing, he said the song is great, and I am not going to record it immediately.”
