The Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) celebrated the emirate's distinguished heritage and the splendor of its authentic traditions in the second edition of the "Mazayna Al Marmoum Al Rutab" event, organized by the Women's Renaissance Association - Al Lisaili Branch on January 25 as part of the "Heritage and Legacy" initiative.

As part of its participation in the event, which was organized in the Al-Khuzama Hall at the association’s headquarters in Al-Lisaili branch, “Dubai Culture” provided a heritage corner in which it showcased Emirati traditional crafts, allowing visitors to get acquainted closely with the details of these professions that were inherited by generations and preserved as an authentic part of the national identity and Emirati cultural heritage. ancient.

The participation also included traditional paragraphs presented by Emirati heritage researcher Salem Hilal, in addition to a section of heritage competitions to enhance visitors' knowledge about the vocabulary of Emirati authenticity.

Dubai Culture stressed that the participation came within the authority's responsibility to celebrate Dubai's heritage treasures and its ancient past, and its commitment to preserving, protecting and transmitting it across generations, and instilling feelings of pride and national belonging in the hearts of community members, especially the new generations.

It also falls within its efforts to consolidate the position of Al Marmoom as a cultural destination rich in the vocabulary of the Emirati cultural heritage.

The “Al Marmoum Dates” event is an annual agricultural, environmental, social and heritage event organized by the Women’s Renaissance Association with the participation of a number of palm plantations owners in the Emirate of Dubai.
