Yesterday, the activities of the second week of the Samaliya Summer Forum in its 30th edition, organized by the Emirates Heritage Club in Abu Dhabi, kicked off until the fourth of next August, to introduce tomorrow's generations to the features of their authentic heritage.

The first week witnessed a wide participation of students, as Samaliya Island received more than 380 affiliates from the centers of Abu Dhabi, Al Samha, and Al Wathba, who participated in a number of activities that were distributed between the tours of the heritage ship that introduces them to the heritage of the sea in the Emirates, and the activities of camels, as they received an explanation about the The mount and its equipment parts, and the importance of camels in the heritage of the UAE.

The participants in the forum were briefed on the activities of the "hall", which represents a mini-exhibition of heritage vocabulary and the activities organized by the Emirates Heritage Club.

The hall also contains a marine corner that highlights diving tools and snorkels, under the supervision of the heritage expert, Hathbur Al Rumaithi.

At the end of the first week, the island of Samaliya received more than 140 students from the women's centers on a day designated for them, as activities varied between heritage, cultural, sports and equestrian, and tours of the heritage ship and the sea bus, through which the girls were introduced to the island as a nature reserve.

The students also participated in several traditional workshops, including spindles, Al-Tali, Al-Sadu, Al-Khuss, traditional dishes, and traditional games.

The students were acquainted with the heritage exhibition, including the "Bride's Flower", traditional costumes, henna, and herbs.

The women’s centers also organized many activities during the first week of the Samaliah Summer Forum, as the Abu Dhabi Women’s Center organized for its affiliates craft workshops, including Al-Sadu, Saf Al-Khoos, making bracelets from cotton threads, decorating cards with beads, and decorating baskets with wool threads, in addition to the Sana and coffee workshops. and cooking.

While the Al-Samha Women's Center organized workshops for spindles, talli, sewing, folk dishes, drawing and coloring, and the students visited the Bahia Library.

At the Al Ain Women's Center, several heritage workshops were held, and the students visited the Zayed Central Library, in which they became acquainted with the treasures of knowledge.

Handicraft workshops, such as Al-Tali, Al-Sadu, and Sef Al-Khos, attract female members to the women's centers.
