Cobac Parc will not open its doors this Tuesday.

The amusement park located in Mesnil-Roc'h (which was called Lanhélin) in Ille-et-Vilaine will remain closed on the day of the funeral of the young 18-year-old seasonal worker.

On July 21, this young ride operator died in his hospital room in Rennes where he was admitted on Tuesday in a state of absolute emergency.

The seasonal worker, originally from the area, had fallen from a height of around seven meters while he was on the Tour du Gué, one of the key attractions of Cobac Parc.

According to witnesses, the young man would have hung on one of the nacelles before falling.

Investigation opened to determine the circumstances of the accident

The management had maintained the opening of the amusement park, closing only the Tour du Gué, in particular for the purposes of the investigation.

The leaders of the Looping group, owner of the park and the aquarium of Saint-Malo explained that they had put in place significant psychological support for the staff and the entourage of the young man.

"All the teams will come together to surround his family and pay him a last tribute," said the park.

An investigation has been opened to determine the circumstances of the accident.

The intervention of the labor inspectorate was also requested, specifies the parquet floor of Saint-Malo.
