In January, the former Congolese secretary general Jean-Marc Kabund then interim president of the ruling party UDPS was accused of fraud, corruption and extortion, before being expelled from the movement.
At the end of March, he formalized his resignation as first vice-president of the National Assembly, but kept his post as deputy.
Earlier this week, he created his own party, the Alliance for Change.
