An American woman wakes up after two years from a coma to reveal who tried to kill her

An American woman woke up two years after she was in a coma after being violently assaulted, to reveal a surprise about the person who assaulted her.

"Wanda Palmer, who was assaulted, beaten and left to die, has now woken up to confirm that her brother Daniel has assaulted her," police in the mountainous, rural Jackson County of West Virginia said in a Facebook post.

Mrs. Wanda Palmer, 51, was found bloodied in June of her home in Cotageville, a small town in the west of the county.

"As a result of the assault, Palmer suffered an accidental brain injury, possibly as a result of a wound caused by a machete or axe," Police Chief Ross Mellitger said in an interview with a local channel.

While Ross Mellinger indicated that the murder weapon was never found, he pointed out that the investigation was halted for two years due to the absence of any phone data, footage from surveillance cameras or eyewitnesses.
