Recently, the special passenger service work of the ground service department of China Southern Airlines Personnel Yi Liang is busy in the departure hall gathering unaccompanied children.

Yi Liang, who has been employed for 17 years, serves as a "full-time person" for the protection of unaccompanied children, serving more than 3,000 unaccompanied children.

Recalling the bits and pieces in his work, what makes him most proud is the nickname "Easy Dad" given by his colleagues.

Guard "Peter Pan"'s safe journey with love

The annual winter and summer vacations are the peak travel times for unaccompanied children. Yi Liang is always busy at the D20 special service passenger counter in the departure hall of Guangzhou Baiyun Airport Terminal 2.

After the unaccompanied children, commonly known as "Peter Pan", have completed the check-in procedures, they need to wait for the arrival of "Easy Dad" in the special service passenger rest area.

According to the flight time of the children, Yi Liang compiled a list of unaccompanied children, and matched them one by one, lined them up, carefully checked the flight documents and luggage they carried, and reminded them of personal protection. After the parents confirmed their belongings, they led the "squad" to the dedicated security check channel.

After passing the security check, Yi Liang led the "Squad" to the special rest area next to the boarding gate of B265, assisted in the completion of hand disinfection, and provided the "Peter Pan" waiting for the flight with sterilized picture books, books, etc. According to the needs, personality differences and age differences, we can flexibly adjust the communication method and provide more accurate services.

After the flight started boarding, Yi Liang escorted the children to the boarding gate of the corresponding flight, gave priority to boarding and handed over to the flight attendant, and informed the service precautions.

In the event of an abnormal flight, he will prepare meals, drinking water, disposable blankets, emergency masks, etc. for the children, and contact the parents as soon as possible to inform them of the flight situation, so as to avoid parents’ worries, and according to the needs of children and parents Give priority to standby, change other flights, and travel in a healthy way. Parents can rest assured and arrive with peace of mind.

"I remember when I was guiding for the first time, I was worried about whether the child would cry and how to coax him. But before I could think about it, the child came to the counter and said, 'Brother, will you accompany me?' Looking at the expectant eyes of the children, I have a clear mission in my heart, which is to protect them." After 17 years of employment, Yi Liang is still sticking to the original intention of this service.

When performing a guiding task, Yi Liang noticed a boy squatting on the ground without speaking. The child's mother explained that because the child was in a hurry to catch the car, he felt sick to his stomach now.

Yi Liang squatted down to communicate with the boy and found that his state was not optimistic, so he reported the situation to the cadre on duty. After obtaining the consent of the parents, he sent the child to the infirmary and assisted in changing the subsequent flight.

After timely medical treatment, the child's condition has also improved.

From "brother" to "uncle", watching "Peter Pan" grow up

"Hello Uncle Yi!" Yi Liang turned around and found a familiar face.

"Xiaokang is you again, are you going back to Dalian by yourself?"

"Yeah, it's great to see you again!" Xiaokang flies back to his hometown by himself every winter and summer vacation, and has become a "regular visitor" here.

"Xiaokang was only 8 years old when he flew by himself for the first time, and he cried so hard. I walked around with him in my arms, showed him the plane, played with other children... Later, when I boarded the plane, I was reluctant to let me go. Le. I didn't expect time to pass so quickly, he is 13 years old now. He used to call me brother Liang, but now he is called uncle."

From "brother" to "uncle", Yi Liang has been escorting the "Peter Pan", depicting the blue sky for children with love, and sending parents peace of mind with warmth.
