The two parties will rely on their respective professional advantages to establish a strategic partnership in archives utilization, academic research and publication, talent training, and joint exhibitions.

  The Shenyang Palace Museum is an ancient culture and art museum established on the basis of the Shengjing Palace established in the early Qing Dynasty. It has a history of nearly a hundred years of museum construction.

In 1961, the Shenyang Palace Museum was listed as the first batch of national key cultural relics protection units; in 2004, the Shenyang Palace Museum in Qing Dynasty was included in the "World Heritage List"; in 2017, the Shenyang Palace Museum was rated as a national first-class museum.

It has a high reputation in the protection and display of palace buildings, cultural relics collection and exhibition, academic research and publication, social welfare, and cultural services, and provides multi-faceted cultural tourism services to millions of people every year.

Shenyang Imperial Palace and Liaoning Provincial Archives will rely on their respective professional advantages to establish a strategic partnership in the use of archives.

  Liaoning Provincial Archives, formerly known as the Northeast District Temporary Archives Storage Office, is now a national first-class archives. It undertakes the functions of archives data storage, sorting, industrial culture research and local chronicles compilation, as well as archives development and utilization and patriotism education base, etc. The social service function is the main storage base and service utilization center of archives and historical materials in Liaoning Province, and the provincial government's public information access center.

The collection of archives and materials is more than 1.6 million volumes (volumes), mainly keeping archives formed in various historical periods in Liaoning and even the Northeast region, including Chinese, Manchu, and Japanese archives.

  In the Shenyang Imperial Palace in the Qing Dynasty, a large number of Manchu and Chinese documents and Qing Palace classics were collected. Most of these precious archives are currently collected in the Liaoning Provincial Archives.

The signing of this strategic cooperation agreement signifies that the Shenyang Palace Museum and the Liaoning Provincial Archives will, in accordance with the goal of "developing an advanced socialist culture and enhancing the country's cultural soft power" put forward in the country's "14th Five-Year Plan", broaden and deepen the pre-Qing Dynasty In-depth research and extensive cooperation in history, Qing court history, Northeast local history, archives compilation, cultural creativity, etc. Horizontal communication to realize the vision of resource sharing, achievement sharing and talent sharing.

  In the next step, Shenyang Palace Museum will also cooperate with China First Historical Archives, Palace Museum, Liaoning Provincial Library, University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Jilin University, Luxun Academy of Fine Arts, Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts, Liaoning University, Northeast Normal University, Jilin Normal University and other units to carry out business cooperation, and jointly write a new chapter for promoting the creative transformation and innovative development of Chinese excellent traditional culture.
