Automaker SUBARU has notified the country of a recall of more than 240,000 vehicles, saying that the electric parking brake may not work on five models such as the "Levorg."

A total of more than 247,000 units of five models, including SUBARU's "Levorg" and "Impreza," manufactured from May 2014 to August 2018, will be recalled.

According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, the target vehicle has a defect in the part that activates the electric parking brake used when parking, and the part may come off due to driving vibration.

If the parts come off, the warning light will come on, and the parking brake may not work or can not be released, which means that although there have been no accidents so far, 188 bug reports have been received from users. ..

SUBARU will inspect and respond to the target vehicles free of charge through dealers nationwide.
