In June, the number of foreign tourists visiting Japan exceeded 120,000, exceeding 100,000 for the third consecutive month.

Acceptance of foreign tourists has resumed since June, and the Japan Tourism Agency expects that the number of tourists entering the country will increase further.

According to the Japan National Tourism Organization, an estimated 120,400 foreign tourists visited Japan in June.

It is the third consecutive month that the number of people has exceeded 100,000.

The main reason for this is that the number of technical intern trainees and international students who had been suspended due to the impact of the new corona has increased compared to the same period last year.

By country, Vietnam has the highest number with 22,900, followed by China with 14,700 and South Korea with 11,200.

Acceptance of foreign tourists has resumed from June 10, but according to the Japan Tourism Agency, only 252 people have entered the country for tourism purposes by the end of June due to the time required for visa procedures. ..

The Japan Tourism Agency expects that the number of immigrants will increase further, as more than 14,000 people are applying for entry for tourism purposes after the 1st of this month.
