Gifu Prefecture and others announced on the 20th that 2594 new coronavirus infections have been confirmed.
The number of announcements for the day was the highest ever, surpassing 1234 on February 15, the highest number ever.
A total of 123,490 people have been confirmed to be infected in Gifu Prefecture.
