Simple tricks for a peaceful sleep in hot weather

The constant heat during the night may not be welcome by many, especially because of the accompanying sweating and insomnia during sleep, which is why European media have been interested in providing tips for a quiet sleep at night amid the heat wave in many European countries.

Doctor Tim Bond was quoted by The Express as saying that many people find themselves struggling to get a good night's sleep due to the sweltering heat if they do not have air conditioning.

The doctor gave many tips for sleeping at night, the most important of which is sleeping near the floor, explaining that it is no secret to anyone that the heat can make those who live on the upper floor sweat heavily, as hot air is less dense and therefore lighter than cold air, so it rises higher.

"Sleeping in a basement or on a mattress on the floor is likely to be cooler and perhaps more comfortable in hot weather," he added.

The second tip or trick the doctor gave is to sleep on your side, as this exposes more of your body to the air.

It allows the heat from your body to escape and regulate your body temperature to a more comfortable level.

The doctor stressed that sleep is necessary for good health, and the lack of quiet sleep affects the immune system and increases the risk of depression, anxiety and pain, and increases the risk of some diseases.
